Terms of use
1. Acceptance
By using phphtmledit.com you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the editor.
2. The service
We provide a browser-based HTML editor free of charge, for personal and commercial work alike. No account is required. We may add, change or remove features, and we may pause the service for maintenance.
3. Your content
You keep all rights to the documents you edit. Because processing happens in your browser, we never receive that content and therefore claim no licence to it. You are responsible for having the right to use the material you paste or import.
4. Acceptable use
- Do not use the editor to produce or distribute unlawful, infringing or malicious content, including markup crafted to attack other sites.
- Do not attempt to disrupt the service, probe it for vulnerabilities without contacting us first, or automate it in ways that degrade it for others.
- Do not republish the editor as your own product; see clause 6 for what is allowed.
5. No warranty
The editor is provided "as is". Markup conversion and cleanup are automated processes: review the output before you publish it. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that a conversion will preserve every nuance of a source document. Keep your own copy of anything important — we hold no backups of your work.
6. Intellectual property
The name phphtmledit.com, the logo, the interface and the site content belong to the project. You may link to any page freely and quote short excerpts with attribution. Embedding the editor in another product, or redistributing it, requires written permission — ask us, it is usually granted for non-commercial use.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost data, lost profits or indirect damages arising from use of the editor. Since the service is free, our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid for it.
8. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the date above always shows the current version, and continued use after a change means you accept it. Questions go to hello@phphtmledit.com.
